How to Compress Files Using File Manager

1. Log into your Control Panel.
2. Go to File Manager.
3. Locate the files/directories you want to compress.
4. Check the box for each item you want to compress.
5. Click  Archive.
6. Type an Archive Name.
7. Click Archive.
8. A zip file will be created inside of the currently selected directory. The original files/directories are kept.

How to Compress Files Using Archive Gateway

1. Log into your Control Panel.
2. Go to Archive Gateway.
3. Select the directory or file you want to compress (only one item can be selected, though selecting a directory will compress all of its contents as well).
4. Type in an Output Directory (this determines where the compressed file will be placed).
5. Select your Compression Type.
6. Select what you want to do with the original directory or file:
   • Keep the Original File (keeps the original copy)
   • Replace with the Compressed File (deletes the original copy)
7. Click Archive/Compress.
   

How to Uncompress Files Using Archive Gateway

1. Log into your Control Panel.
2. Go to Archive Gateway.
3. Select the directory or file you want to uncompress (only one item can be selected).
4. Type in an Output Directory (this determines where the uncompressed file will be placed).
5. Click Extract/Uncompress.
